Refund Policy

Introduction

This Refund Policy applies to the paid features of Settee, operated by Satiate Studio Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") at https://settee.app (the "Services"). It explains how to cancel a Pro subscription and how to ask us for your money back.

We are the seller of the Services. Payments are processed by Stripe, which collects and processes your payment information directly; we do not receive or store your full card numbers. When you subscribe you enter into a separate payment arrangement with Stripe, whose terms of service and privacy policy govern your payment transactions. Our Terms of Service carry the full billing terms, and this page expands on their cancellation and refunds section rather than replacing it. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Terms of Service or under law.

Plans covered

Settee has a Free plan and one paid plan, Pro, offered at £5 per month or £48 per year, as selected by you at the time of purchase. Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

This Refund Policy covers the Pro subscription. The Free plan involves no payment.

Cancellation

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account settings, which will direct you to Stripe's Customer Portal. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier. You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods after cancellation.

Cancelling stops future charges; it does not by itself refund a payment you have already made. If you want a refund as well, follow the steps below.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by us, by hand. Nothing in the Settee app raises a refund, and there is no self-service refund button in your account — refunds are issued in Stripe from our side, after you contact us.

To request a refund, email us at hello@settee.app from the address on your account, telling us the date of the payment you want refunded. We will look at your request and reply. Where we issue a refund, the refunded subscription ends and your account goes back to the free tier.

Statutory right to withdraw

Consumers in the UK and the EU/EEA have a statutory right to withdraw from certain contracts for digital content and digital services, and you may have additional rights under local law. Where the law gives you a right to withdraw from your purchase or to a refund, it applies regardless of anything to the contrary in this policy.

• 14-day right to withdraw. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU/EEA, you generally have 14 days from the start of your subscription to withdraw from it and ask for a refund of the payment you have made.
• Its limit, stated honestly. The right to withdraw can be lost once digital content has been supplied with your express consent to immediate supply and your acknowledgement that you would lose the right to withdraw by giving that consent. Settee's checkout does not currently ask you for that express consent and acknowledgement, so we do not treat the right as lost: if you are a consumer within the 14-day period, the statutory right to withdraw applies to your purchase.

Cancelling under the statutory right

What follows is the statutory cancellation notice the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 require us to give you, set out in the form those Regulations prescribe.

Right to cancel

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us, Satiate Studio Ltd, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, hello@settee.app, of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post, or an email). You may use the model cancellation form below, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

Effects of cancelling

If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
